The NBD site provides a dedicated digital home for a collective of Novant-verified BIPOC doulas practicing in the Charlotte, NC metro area and across regions of North Carolina and South Carolina.
Each doula listed here serves private clients in a range of birth and care settings where doulas are welcomed—their work is not limited to Novant hospitals. In addition, these doulas have obtained vendor status and specialized credentials that grant them access within Novant facilities beyond what is typically available to community doulas or birth partners. This site exists to make their presence, qualifications, and scope of care visible and understood.
NBD makes it easy for women and birthing people, families, and collaborators to find and connect with Novant-verified BIPOC doulas. There are undoubtedly doulas in the region who meet these criteria and are not yet represented here—if you know one, we warmly encourage you to invite them to join this growing collective.
