This site is a thoughtful landing place—present with valuable information and insight for Black and Indigenous folks and people of color who are looking to hire a Novant-verified BIPOC doula. Most prominently—it is a virtual space for potential clients to easily find you, and connect with you and your work.

  • Essential Members of the NBD site collective are featured on the Meet Novant BIPOC Doulas page. Your photograph, title(s), business blurb, and pre-populated email contact button is listed clearly and accessibly.

  • The NBD site provides information that helps your potential clients make informed choices. From the definition of “what is a doula”, to the ability to choose a doula that’s right for them - you’ll know that before making their way to you from this site, they’ve had access to good foundational insight.

  • You have at least a couple of things in common with every doula on the NBD site. As you explore this platform—read bios, watch introduction videos, and discover each doula’s unique approach to care. If someone’s vibe + work resonates with you, consider reaching out to them! You may find collaborative opportunities, back-up doula partners, and/or encouraging friends.
